The Smoke Pen generates a thin stream of dense, white smoke perfect for air-flow studies and leak-testing. Light the Smoke Pen wick with a lighter or match, blow out any flame and the glowing tip will produce a trail of smoke lasting up to 30 minutes. The smoke is safe and non-toxic and produces no messy ash. Extinguish by replacing the protective cover. Any unused wick portion stores in the barrel of the pen. The Smoke Pen is re-usable. It comes with six wicks, which provides a total of three hours of smoke or about 180 individual 60-second tests. Replacement wicks are available.

The Smoke Pen's thin, dense stream of smoke is very sensitive to lowspeed drafts. The smoke is cool and non-toxic smoke is perfect for finding air leaks around windows, doors, chimneys, ductwork seams and joint, exhaust hoods and laboratory equipment. Also ideal for air balancing, verifying ventilation systems, testing smoke alarms, and checking negative or positive air pressure in clean rooms, isolation chambers, hospital isolation rooms, and lab safety hoods. Great tool for K9 scent detection training.

Smoke Pen Instructions:

1. Remove the black cap from the end of the pen.
2. Place the wick in the pen by pressing the chrome button on the end of the pen to open the jaws.
3. Allow about 3/8� of exposed wick.
4. Light the wick and blow out the flame after a few seconds. The pen will provide a stable and continuous stream of smoke.
5. Snuff out the wick by replacing the plastic cap over end of the smoke pen.
6. Caution: Do not use the Smoke Pen in the presence of flammable gases.

To re-use, simply adjust the length of the wick and follow the steps as described above.

The Smoke Pen has a long shelf life when stored in a cool dry location.
